We opened OceanCatch on 14 March 2018 in a 90 m² shopfront on Akti Themistokleous in Piraeus, two streets back from the passenger port. Yiannis Maragakis was a fishmonger; Eleni Sotiriou was a financial controller who had spent ten years in shipping and was looking for something with a counter rather than a screen. We rented the space, painted the walls navy, hung up a slate, and started writing boat names on it on 17 March. We have not stopped since.
